WEST ROXBURY (CBS) — On this Memorial Day there was a special ceremony at the Gardens at Gethsemane in West Roxbury.

It included a 21-gun salute and a message from State Senator Mike Rush who spoke via a video link from Iraq where he is currently serving.

Rush says very important to remember memories of all veterans

“For the love of our country it is incumbent upon us to keep their memories alive, and never to forget why we have the freedoms we so often we seem to take for granted,” he said.
