BOSTON (CBS) – A police officer was working crowd control was injured during the post-game celebration outside the Garden Friday night.

Boston Police Commissioner Ed Davis says the officer was sprayed with either mace or pepper spray.

He wasn’t sure if the spray came from a fan or from one of the other officers.

That officer was expected to be fine.

For the most part, the Bruins celebrations stayed under control.

WBZ-TV witnessed one altercation where officers were seen taking the parties involved into custody. It’s unclear at this point whether those fans were arrested.

Boston police tell CBSBoston.com that they made two arrests throughout the course of the night, one for disorderly conduct and a second for resisting arrest and assault and battery on an officer.

Why does a celebration have to end with violence? They won the game, why cause trouble afterward?
