Memorial Day Weekend Travel Expected To Be Up
BOSTON (CBS) -- Memorial Day travel is up from last year. A lot of locals are enjoying a little relief at the pump and hitting the road.
According to a TripAdvisor survey, 30 percent of Boston residents are planning to travel this Memorial Day weekend. 21 percent taking off are getting behind the wheel.

"I'm splurging on a full tank of gas for once rather than just filling up half," said one Allston man, filling up his tank for a trip to the Cape.
WBZ-TV's Alana Gomez reports.
Even though prices are just five cents less on average than last week, economists say the difference is in the dollar sign.
"We had a really bad forecast for this weekend so people are saying maybe we'll stay home, all of a sudden, there's a lot of psychology involved if it's under four dollars," said John Tommasi, an economist from Bentley University.

"Even though it's usually only a couple of pennies, if it's below four dollars or it's below $3.90, I go for it no matter where I am," said Ali Gross, who was on her way to Vermont.
"It feels a little better when it's $3.99, just like any purchase," said another.
AAA estimates nearly 35-million Americans will travel this Memorial Day, a slight increase from last year.
