Home Sales Take Major Plunge In Mass. In April

BOSTON (CBS) -- New figures show there has been no pop in home sales this spring.

The Warren Group, publisher of Banker and Tradesman, says single family home sales in Massachusetts fell 28 percent in April, compared to the same month last year.

It's the third consecutive month that sales have fallen.

Median prices have also fallen. Tim Warren at the Warren Group expects that trend to continue a few more months, until sales volume picks up.

WBZ NewsRadio 1030's Anthony Silva reports.
