Should Obese Flyers Be Forced To Buy Two Seats?

Should super-sized passengers buy an extra seat? Perhaps obesity should be seen as a handicap and the airlines should provide large seats to large people in a handicap area of the plane.

They will be discriminating against obese people, I understand that one airline already does that.

Everything is sized for smaller individuals still. Has anyone looked around or watched the news? Americans are getting more and more obese. Event he children are joining the group of overweight people. So, maybe businesses should start taking all of this into consideration when manufacturing anything that would not accommodate and obese person.

Like one of the people said: We accomodate the wheelchair-bound in restrooms, busses, etc., because it’s not their fault.

It’s technically “our fault” if we over eat but I say that those who can “Hit the Gym.” are less likely to have physical disability(s) that restrict mobility for one and also may have been the cause of merciless teasing as a child leading to low self-esteem and … finding solice in over eating.
