Amesbury Mom And Son Jailed For Selling Black Market Video Games In N.H.

SALEM, N.H. (AP) - A mother and son charged in a black market business involving stolen video games are serving sentences in New Hampshire.

Sixty-five-year-old Luise LaQuerre of Amesbury, Mass., has been sentenced in Salem to six months in jail. Police said she violated the terms of a 12-month suspended sentence for stealing video games with her son last year at a Best Buy.

Her lawyer says the crimes are the product of threats against LaQuerre by her 22-year-old son, Christopher Andrukaitis. But prosecutors said tapes monitoring conversations between the two when Andrukaitis was jailed in Massachusetts shows them talking about what to tell police about the games.

Andrukaitis was sentenced in Salem to 10 months in jail on the theft case. He faces a domestic assault charge; the victim is LaQuerre.
