Boston Red Sox

BOSTON (CBS) – The Boston Red Sox were a busy team on Friday.

Boston activated reliever Dan Wheeler from the disabled list, sending Michael Bowden to Pawtucket. They also sent down short stop Jose Iglesias while calling up outfielder Drew Sutton.

To make room for Sutton on the 40-man roster, the Red Sox designated utility outfielder Daniel Nava for assignment.

The moves come one day after the Red Sox signed pitcher Kevin Millwood to a minor league contract and traded for Colorado reliever Franklin Morales. To make room for Morales, Boston designated Hideki Okajima.
