Who Is Julianne McCrery?

CONCORD, Mass. (CBS) -- Julianne McCrery was taken into custody by Massachusetts State Police Wednesday morning at a rest area in Chelmsford. It was the truck she was driving that got their attention. It was a blue Toyota Tacoma with an extended cab and Navy insignia on the license plate. It was the same truck someone in South Berwick, Maine said they saw hours before finding the body of a little boy on the side of a road.

McCrery was taken to the State Police barracks in Concord for questioning, and that's where sources say she admitted to killing her son, Camden Pierce Hughes, saying she gave him an overdose of medication.

McCrery is from Irving, Texas and has a criminal history in Texas where she's been arrested several times. Her most recent arrest was in 2009 when she was charged with prostitution. She was also arrested in 2004 for possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute and in 2003 for prostitution. Those two cases were dismissed.

WBZ-TV's Kathy Curran reports.

According to Dallas County family court it ordered biological testing in 2006 and found Camden's father is Phillip Robinette. In a handwritten letter from jail Robinette denies being Camden's father. In 2005 the same court found McCrery in contempt in a case that involved non-payment of child support.

McCrery is also the author of the book "Goodnight, Sleep Tight," which is a book about overcoming sleep problems. In the "About the Author" section it says she was born in San Jose, Calif. in 1969 and made her home in Dallas since the early 1980s. It also says she has two ones, one who is in the U.S. Navy and the other who is much younger, referring to Camden.
