The bus collided with an SUV, swerved, jumped a short retaining wall and crashed into a brick house onPleasant Streetaround 7:30 a.m.

According to Worcester Police, 17-year-old Evan Perotto, ofWorcester, was driving a 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer involved in the crash. He was cited for failing to stop at a nearby stop sign.

The home owners were inside, but they were not hurt.

WBZ-TV’s Peg Rusconi reports.

Home owner Jim Maloney told WBZ-TV when he heard the crash he thought the accident was out on the street, not in the side of their home.

“I was seated right here with a magazine, very calmly.  Bang.  Bang,” said Jim Maloney, speaking from the couch in his den.

It wasn’t until he walked into his living room that he saw what happened where he found himself staring at a school bus.   “I was eyeball to eyeball with a yellow school bus that had come off the street, up our stone wall, destroyed our shrubbery.”

His wife, Mary Elizabeth Maloney, said, “I was in the upstairs bedroom right over the living room and it just shook the house.  I just can’t believe what I saw, a long yellow bus.”

The front wall is cracked, but the Maloneys can stay in their home.

WBZ-TV’s Peg Rusconi contributed to this report.
