Retired Quincy Police Officer Charged With Child Molestation

QUINCY (CBS) - A former Quincy police officer was in court on Monday to answer to child molestation charges.

The Plymouth District Attorney's office said 72-year-old Anthony Courage, a retired Quincy patrol officer, pleaded not guilty in Hingham District Court to two charges of Indecent assault and battery on a person under 14.

Courage was released on his own recognizance, and was ordered to have no contact with the victim or anyone under 18 without parental supervision.

Courage had turned himself in to Hanover police earlier in the day. The charges stem from alleged incidents last December and on a previous date. Courage's next court date is scheduled for July 6.
