Dover Workers Tackle Man Accused Of Stealing 17 Engagement Rings

DOVER, NH (CBS) - A man who allegedly stole 17 engagement rings from a Dover jewelry store was behind bars Saturday thanks to two city employees.

Police say 23-year-old Sean Fallon of South Berwick, Maine went into Market Square Jewelers on Thursday and asked an employee to see some rings.

That clerk took out a tray of them, which Fallon allegedly grabbed and took off running with.

Fallon didn't get very far.

Dover city employees Eric Poitras and Mark Colonna, heard the commotion. They tackled Fallon and held him until police arrived.

All of the rings were recovered. Fallon was being held on $15,000 bail.
