BOSTON (CBS) – The FBI raided a home in Dorchester early Friday morning, but won’t say why just yet.
The FBI would only say it was carrying out court authorized activity at the home on Devon Street. They were seen searching the third floor of the apartment building.
Boston police told WBZ-TV it was a gun and drug raid.
WBZ-TV’s Alana Gomez reports.
Neighbors say the area is usually quiet and they were startled by the raid. “The cars, the FBI were all up in here,” said Lorraine Valentine. “It looked like someone had abandoned their cars in the middle of the street.”
Raids were also conducted in Roxbury and Revere.
Officials have not said how many arrests were made, only that people were placed under arrest and some of the people in custody could be in court by the end of the day Friday.
WBZ NewsRadio 1030′s Jim Smith reports.
