BOSTON (CBS) – The city of Boston provided more than 10,000 jobs to teenagers in 2010.
This summer, about 2,200 positions could be cut.
Lisa van der Pool of the Boston Business Journal reports.
While I feel for the young people looking for summer work, I can only say that unemployment is still at unacceptable levels throughout the country, and while families are striving to make ends meet, and not lose their homes, it shouldn’t be surprising that summer jobs would be scarce as well.
