BOSTON (AP) - The New England Patriots have drafted defensive back Malcolm Williams of TCU in the seventh round.

Williams is the second member of the Horned Frogs chosen by the Patriots on Saturday. They took offensive ineman Marcus Cannon in the fifth round. Williams made just 22 tackles in two seasons at TCU with 16 coming on special teams. In 2008, he played at Trinity Valley Junior College.

The Patriots chose him with the 17th pick of the seventh round, the 219th overall.

With their other two picks on Saturday, the Patriots took tight end Lee Smith of Marshall in the fifth round and outside linebacker Markell Carter of Central Arkansas in the sixth.
