Authorities Reveal More Information In Plymouth Murder-Suicide

PLYMOUTH, Mass. (AP) - Authorities have identified a Massachusetts woman they say was bludgeoned to death by her husband days before he committed suicide by cutting into his leg with a power saw as police watched from the doorway.

Plymouth District Attorney Timothy Cruz said Friday that an autopsy determined that blunt force trauma to the skull and brain caused the death of 49-year-old Jettie Lincoln. The manner of death was homicide.

Police responding to a family request to check on the home on Monday night saw Lincoln's husband, 49-year-old Keith, sitting on the couch in the living room. He then picked up a circular saw and cut one of his legs. He died in hospital.

His wife and two dogs were found lying on a bed covered with a blanket. Her injuries were consistent with being struck by a mason hammer found nearby.
