Paula Ebben In London: Local Woman In UK For 3rd Royal Wedding

LONDON (CBS) - Diane Campbell won't be the only one trying to get a view of the newly married couple.

People are expected to start camping out along the parade route as early as the day before.

"Well, it was pretty exiting. It was Prince Charles and there hadn't been a royal wedding in a while. It was that big in its scale," said Campbell.

WBZ-TV's Paula Ebben reports.

Now, Campbell is scoping out the best vantage point for her third royal wedding. She has traveled all the way from Manchester by the Sea and wouldn't have missed this one for anything.

Campbell knows that not everyone can understand why she's drawn to the royal family, but says everyone has a hobby.

"Yes, people think it's weird. I mean, some people are crazy about the Super Bowl," said Campbell.

Campbell works at the Colonial Theater in Boston and loves the sense of pageantry and drama an event like this creates.

"It's the biggest theatrical production in the world," said Campbell.

The streets in London are already packed with tourists, but Diane still said it's worth being in England and that watching it on TV would be a poor substitute.

"You just get goose bumps and you don't get that watching TV," said Campbell.

There are miles of viewing areas for people, and there will also be three sites with jumbo TV screens spread throughout the city.
