BOSTON (CBS) – Kudos for Eastern Bank. The 193-year-old bank has been ranked highest in customer satisfaction in New England for the second year in a row.
J.D. Power and Associates conducted the nationwide survey in January.
WBZ NewsRadio 1030′s Mary Blake reports
Roughly 50,000 customers were asked questions about their primary bank.
Chief Executive Officer of Eastern Bank, Richard Holbrook, says Eastern scored well on how they handle activities involving customer accounts, along with the types of products they offer.
Holbrook also says there was an overall improvement in all bank scores, which suggests that the reputation of the banking industry is improving.
Holbrook says there his bank has strong competition in the satisfaction survey. Rockland Trust came in second. T.D. Bank came in third.
