Would-Be Robber In Mattapan Gets Stuck Under Freezer

MATTAPAN (CBS) -- He may have been trying to rob the place, but he ended up getting stuck instead.

A cook at a Mattapan restaurant found the alleged robber Wednesday morning trapped under the floorboards, groaning in pain.

Police say the man broke in through a basement window.

He had to push a freezer out of the way that covered the bulkhead. But when the would-be robber was half-way up the stairs, police say the freezer fell back on the door and trapped him.

The suspect was taken to Brigham and Women's Hospital with serious injuries.
