BOSTON (CBS) - The Boston Red Sox begin a nine-game, 10-day road trip that starts on the West Coast against the Oakland Athletics Tuesday night.

The Red Sox are seeking their first road victory of the season after starting off 0-6 away from Fenway Park. They also looked to add on to their three-game win streak, their first of the season.

Here are the pitching matchups for the series in Oakland:

Tuesday 10:05 pm EST

John Lackey (1-1, 15.58 ERA) vs Brett Anderson (0-1, 2.29 ERA)

Wednesday 3:35 pm EST

Clay Buchholz (0-2, 6.60 ERA) vs Gio Gonzalez (2-0, 0.47 ERA)

Maybe a start against Oakland is just what the doctor ordered for the struggline Lackey. He is a career 17-5 against the Athletics with an ERA of 2.90 over 31 starts. He has more wins against Oakland than any other opponent.

The Sox righty was skipped in his last start due to a rain-out, and will take the mound after 10 days off. He has allowed 15 runs over 8 2/3 innings to start 2011, with opponents batting .395 against him.
