BOSTON (CBS) – Maybe nobody has captured the hearts and minds of anyone covering and watching the Boston Marathon as the Hoyts.

Rick and Dick Hoyt are running Boston for the 29th time.

Dick pushes his son, who has cerebral palsy.

This year, Dick is 70, and recovering from knee surgery.

WBZ-TV’s Steve Burton spoke with the Hoyts.

“We’re just gonna go out, and we’re gonna start out slow, and just see what happens, that’s all. But, we will finish it,” said Hoyt. “Our motto is ‘Yes, you can.’ There’s no such word as can’t, and we just feel we’re going to stick with our motto

Dick Hoyt said he and his son have competed in more than 1,000 races.
