BOSTON (AP) – An Israeli company that Gov. Deval Patrick visited during his recent trade mission to Israel has decided to locate its U.S. headquarters in Massachusetts.
The company, EarlySense, is the developer of a patient monitoring system for hospitals and nursing homes that uses contact-free sensors.
Patrick’s office announced on Thursday that the company plans to hire 10 employees in Massachusetts before the end of this year and to add 10-20 additional workers annually in the future.
EarlySense chief executive Avner Halperin said the company considered several states for its U.S. headquarters but chose Massachusetts after hearing Patrick’s pitch last month.
The announcement did not say where in Massachusetts the office will be located.
