BROOKLINE (CBS) – Police in Brookline and Boston are looking for suspects in two bank robberies located about a mile apart on Wednesday.

The Brookline Bank on Beacon Street was robbed just after 2:30 p.m. Lt. Philip Harrington said the suspect claimed he had a gun, although none was shown. He was described as a white man, about 5-foot-5, wearing a yellow hooded sweatshirt with dark stripes.

“He left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money. He was last seen headed inbound on Beacon towards Park Drive,” said Lt. Harrington.

About an hour after the incident, Boston Police got a report of a bank robbery at the Bank of America on Commonwealth Avenue.
