Human Bone Discovered During Sewage Disk Clean-Up
WEST NEWBURY (CBS) - The clean-up of millions of small disks that flowed out of a Hooksett, NH sewage plant has led to disturbing find.
A worker uncovered a human bone inside a woman's shoe along the Merrimack River in West Newbury.
The medical examiner confirmed the bone is human.
Police are now investigating.
As many as eight million wastewater plastic disks were accidentally discharged from the Hooksett sewage treatment plant last month.
They have been popping up along waterways in New Hampshire and Massachusetts.
