Bruins Recall 10 From Providence

BOSTON (CBS) - The Boston Bruins have recalled 10 players from the Providence Bruins, General Manager Peter Chiarelli announced Tuesday.

Goalies Michael Hutchinson and Anton Khudobin, forwards Jamie Arniel, Jordan Caron, Zach Hamill, Lane MacDermid, and Trent Whitfield, and defensemen Yury Alexandrov, Matt Bartkowski and Steven Kampfer all have been recalled from Providence.

Bartkowski, Kampfer and Khudobin will report to Boston while the other players will remain in Providence to train with the minor league coaching staff.

Kampfer appeared in 38 games this season with Boston, totaling 10 points on five goals and five assists.  He was recently assigned to Providence on April 6th, and will not be available for the Bruins first round playoff series against the Montreal Canadiens with a knee injury.

Caron began the season in Boston totaling seven points in 23 games on three goals and four assists. He was sent down to Providence on December 6th.

The Bruins begin their playoff series against Montreal on Thursday April 13th at the TD Garden in Boston.
