Boston Redevelopment Authority Gets New Leader

BOSTON (CBS) -- A well-known community leader and former Blue Cross executive is the new head of the Boston Redevelopment Authority.

Peter Meade, a former WBZ radio talk show host, has been named to lead the BRA, as the authority faces a host of challenges.

Meade takes over the BRA as the city works out details of more than 200 redevelopment projects across the city, and continued growth of the massive South Boston Waterfront and Business District.

WBZ NewsRadio 1030's Anthony Silva talks with Peter Meade.
