Bomb Squad Called To Fenway Park Overnight

BOSTON (CBS) – There was a brief scare at Fenway Park early Monday morning.

A bomb squad was called in to Gate A around midnight after a suspicious package was found in a stairwell.

Police shut down Brookline Avenue, Yawkey Way and Lansdowne Street as a precaution.

The package turned out to be a duffel bag and was not a threat.

The scene was cleared at about 1:30 a.m.

Seems like the police were mistaken. The report was that the pitchers were giving up bombs all weekend.
