REHOBOTH, MASS. (AP) – Rehoboth, Mass., Police Chief Stephen Enos is being suspended for two days without pay following allegations of inappropriate behavior at a party in Rhode Island last December.
Town officials announced the suspension Friday after meeting with Enos. The officials said there were no criminal violations involved. The date of the suspension has not been determined.
Enos allegedly was found lying on the ground and crying following a Dec. 10 party in East Providence. In addition, Enos currently lives outside Rehoboth though his contract requires him to live within town limits.
Enos says he regrets his error in judgment and plans to move back into town.
