WOBURN, Mass. (AP) – Prosecutors plan to release new developments in connection with the fatal shooting of a Massachusetts police officer.
Middlesex District Attorney Gerry Leone will hold a press availability Thursday afternoon to release new information on the Dec. 26 armed robbery of a Kohl’s department store in Woburn, where Woburn police Officer Jack Maguire was fatally shot.
Dominic Cinelli, a career criminal who had been granted parole in 2008, shot and killed Maguire during the botched robbery. Cinelli was killed by police during a shootout.
Two other men were charged.
