BOSTON (CBS) – Boston City Councilor Ayanna Pressley has been open in the past about being a rape victim. But on Wednesday, she wanted to make sure her message was being heard.

WBZ-TV’s Paula Ebben sits down with Councilor Pressley

During a council meeting Pressley announced an upcoming hearing to discuss the issue of sexual assaults on college campuses in the city.

WBZ NewsRadio 1030’s Lana Jones reports
At one point in that discussion, Pressley revealed details about her attack, including the fact that it happened while she was attending Boston University.

Pressley says her biggest concern is that rape often goes unreported on college campuses because there are fears of retribution.
