Orange Line Hero: 'I Just Knew I Had To Act'

BOSTON (CBS) - A passenger on the Orange Line talked on Wednesday about saving a man who fell from the platform onto the tracks.

Wednesday night at the Mass Ave. station in Roxbury, a man waiting for a train lost his balance and fell.

Tony Jones heard someone scream that there was a man on the tracks and he jumped in to help pull him out.

"I didn't really think about it," Jones said on Wednesday. "I just knew I had to act and get him to safety. That's all I knew."

The man hit his head when he fell and also burned his hands on the third rail.

He was taken to the hospital, but is expected to be okay.
