Celtics Donate Computer Lab To Roxbury School
BOSTON (CBS) - The Boston Celtics continue to make a difference in the Boston community off the court.
Thursday afternoon, they celebrating the unveiling of the new Boston Celtics Shamrock Foundation Computer Lab at the Rafael Hernandez Two-Way Bilingual School in Roxbury.
Jeff Green, Carlos Arroyo, Avery Bradley and Von Wafer were in attendance, along with Celtics Co-owner and President of the Boston Celtics Shamrock Foundation Stephen Pagliuca and Team President Rich Gotham.

"This is an especially meaningful event for my teammates and I," Avery Bradley said. "We as players were asked to vote on how to best use the money to make a difference in the community. As role models, nothing is more rewarding than knowing that you have helped improve a child's life."

The refurbished lab features new computers and a state of the art SMART board, as well as freshly painted walls, flooring, furniture, and custom Celtics wall graphics.
The Celtics helped break in the new lab by forming teams with the students and answering questionnaires about their teammates, using the new computers to do the research.

The Player Choice Grant, totaling $50,000, will fund the renovation of two computer labs in the Boston Public School system. This is the first time a Celtics team has collectively decided on a project for the Shamrock Foundation.
