BOSTON (CBS) — Boston’s two public golf courses have opened. The “Winter 9” at the William Devine Course in Franklin Park are open, and the George Wright Golf Course in Hyde Park is also open for dawn-to-dusk golfing. By next week managers hope to have all 18 holes available clear through the end of November.

New this year North End restaurant G’Vanni’s Ristorante will oversee the Emerald Grill at Franklin Park and Shamrock Grill in Hyde Park. Hot dogs will still be available at the courses, but now the clubhouses’ menus will be expanded with Italian specialties.

In addition to the food changes, both courses are also now using social media to reach their customers. The courses are already on Twitter using the handles @FranklinParkGC and @GeorgeWrightGC and indicate they will soon be on Facebook.
