BAA To Hold New 10K Race In June

BOSTON (CBS) – The Boston Athletic Association will have a new race this summer – the B.A.A. 10K.

It will be held Sunday, June 26 at 8 a.m. The 6.2 mile race will start and finish on Charles Street near the Public Garden in the Back Bay.

The field will be capped at 5,000 runners. Online registration will open Wednesday, May 4, at 10 a.m. The fee is $55.

There will be $30,000 in prizes.

In addition to the Boston Marathon, the BAA also holds a 5k the day before the marathon and a half-marathon in the Fall.
