WBZ-TV is proud to once again be the only local television station broadcasting the 115th Boston Marathon live on Monday, April 18. Once again New Englanders who can’t be in front of their TVs to watch the Boston Marathon will be able to watch the race live online.

CBSBoston.com will be streaming live race coverage beginning at 9 a.m. Lisa Hughes, Steve Burton, Toni Reavis and Kathrine Switzer will be your hosts from the Start to Finish line. Television coverage begins at 8 a.m. on WBZ-TV.

If you are outside of New England, or you’re going to be at work and your company’s computer servers are outside of New England, you may not be able to watch live online. Sorry, the New England border is where our streaming rights end.

HEARTBREAK HILL CAMERA

We are happy to be bringing back our web-exclusive Heartbreak Hill camera to our online offerings this year.

We will be streaming that live camera on cbsboston.com beginning around 12:15 and throughout the afternoon so that you can pause, say hi to the people at home, and let them know you made it up Heartbreak!

THE FINISH LINE LIVE OR ON-DEMAND

When you visit cbsboston.com on Marathon Monday, there will also be a live camera locked down on the Finish Line starting around 12:15. If you’ve been tracking your athlete with the BAA’s Athlete Alerts, you will have a good idea of when they will cross that line.

If you miss seeing them live, don’t worry. Beginning TUESDAY morning we are bringing back our ‘Find-A-Finish‘ feature. It will allow you to enter your athlete’s Finish Time and bring up video of the Finish Line from that moment.

This feature will be available for two weeks. For a permanent archive of your athlete’s finish, you can take advantage of the BAA’s course photographs. Information will be available on the official Boston Marathon website on race day.

MARATHON START TIMES

9:00 a.m.: Mobility Impaired start
9:17 a.m.: Push Rim Wheelchair Division start
9:22 a.m.: Handcycle Participants start
9:32 a.m.: Elite Women’s start
10:00 a.m.: Elite Men’s start and First Wave

is there any way I can watch the Boston Marathon from start to finish, not live but recorded somewhere on the Web? I have to work and can’t see it live but would love to watch the race and hear the commentators.

It’s sad that the streaming is blocked even when our cable “provider” doesn’t carry the official channel.

THIS IS PATHETIC…TECHNICALLY NO COVERAGE AT ALL, WITH “SO CALLED” UPDATES. THE NEW ENGLAND BORDER MUST MEAN THE ATLANTIC OCEAN WHICH A FEW PEOPLE SHOULD JUMP IN FOR NOT COVERING THE RACE…

Was looking forward to Kim Smith joining Geoff Smith as the other Providence College Alumni to win Boston. Another day Kim. Respect your courage. You went after it like Geoff did. Tomorrow is another day.
