Boston Bar Patrons Celebrate St. Patrick's Day Early

BOSTON (CBS) - The Black Rose Tavern on State Street in Boston opened at 6 a.m. for St. Patrick's Day on Thursday.

For some, St. Patrick's Day is a day to party.

WBZ NewsRadio 1030's Carl Stevens reports.

For others like Ian St. George of Pepperel, it's also a day to remember their Irish roots.

"My grandfather came fresh off the boat in Ireland. Every year since I was a little kid, the whole family gets together to celebrate St. Patrick's Day, and it's just one of those things where everybody has fun and everybody smiles," said St. George.
