Tito Jackson Wins Seat On Boston City Council
BOSTON (AP) - A former aide to Gov. Deval Patrick has won the seat on the Boston City Council formerly held by Chuck Turner, who was convicted of federal corruption charges.
Tito Jackson won Tuesday's special election with 82 percent of the vote over Cornell Mills, the son of former state Sen. Dianne Wilkerson, who is serving a 3 1/2 -year federal prison sentence for accepting bribes.

The 35-year-old Jackson takes a seat representing Roxbury and parts of the Fenway, South End and Dorchester.
Jackson says his supporters shared his vision for the future, and he plans to bring economic development and jobs to the district.
