    the hit is semi dirty

  2. Jamie McCarthy says:

Elbow to the head from behind? It wasn’t that hard but it is what it is. Two games suspension.

  3. Pabs says:

I can’t believe Marchand was able to elbow someone in the NHL without having to jump up inot the air.

    1. Pabs says:

      Elbow someone in the head

  4. feedthebear says:

Saw the hit last night, thought it was a bit questionable but could have been more of a shove than a hit. Think Umberger was more suprised by a hit in that situation with his positioning on the ice. That’s where the it was questionable, no reason for the hit other than to agitate but that’s his game. It wasn’t an intent to injure but to agitate.

  5. Jerry says:

Cheap shot, but could be retaliation for something we didn’t see earlier. Either way, NOT a good non-call like as Beers comments.

    cheap shot

Definite elbow to the head from behind. that’s it! I’m calling 911

  8. Paul says:

Should have been called a penalty, and there should be a possible fine. Looks like Umberger was going to his knee before, so maybe he intended to hit him in the arm/shoulder, but Marchand needs to be aware and not throw that elbow.

  9. Ronnie says:

Dirty hit. Wasn’t horrible, but definitely should not have occurred and he should AT LEAST receive a fine.

  10. Pete says:

Umberger dove on that one but when he saw who it was he must have been embarrassed. Columbus was diving all night. There have been so many calls against the Bruins since the Habs game now every team knows that powerplays are on tap. All you have to do is fall down.

  11. Mike says:

how many penalties have the Bruins been called for since the Montreal game and how many power plays have the Bruins had? refs are calling everything possible against the Bruins so if you are going to take one make it count

  12. Steve says:

He is going to get suspended. He raised his elbow before the hit when all he had to do was lower his shoulder

  13. Bill says:

It was an elbow. Was it worth a suspension and a Montreal Police investigation? No

  14. PJ says:

questionable hit…could have easily been 2min…no fine/suspension…but Marshmont should know better

  15. Mike C. says:

It was basically a “Head-Shot” that dropped right in his Lap! He took the opportuniy, and whistled pass the grave-yard. It was NOT an accidentl, nor was it incedental contact. “CHEAP SHOT” Sad, I’m a Boston fan!

Nothing like the Incedental unintended injury caused by Chara.

Marchand should get the suspension and perhap’s a fine!
