EMass Boy's Basketball Results And Highlights

BOSTON (CBS) - The Eastern Massachusetts Boy's Basketball Finals are all decided, and it is now off to the State Championship for three local teams.

Division 1: St. John's Prep defeated Mansfield 64-55 on 20 points from junior Steve Haladyna, including 10 in the final three minutes of play. They will take on the winner of St. John's (Shrewsbury)/Northhampton Saturday at the DCU Center in Worcester.

Division 2: New Mission proved their move from Division 4 was a good one, as they beat Hopkinton 67-56. Junior guard Kachi Nzerem scored a game-high 21 points and New Mission will have a chance to win back-to-back State Titles (they won the Division 4 title last year) on Saturday against the winner of Northbridge/Sabis.

Division 3: Watertown continued to dominate on defense, holding Cardinal Spellman to just 36 points in their 56-36 victory. Watertown has not allowed an opponent to score more than 40 points throughout the tournament. They will try to keep that streak going when they take on the winner of Whitinsville Christian/Lenox on Saturday. Senior Marco Coppolla led the way for the Raiders with 26 points, while fellow senior Corey Donahue chipped in with 11.

Division 4 Championship: Winthrop won the Division 4 State Championship with a 58-55 win over Cohasset. Senior Anthony Hatzisavas scored 16 points, and junior Joe D'Amore scored 11 of his 15 points in the fourth quarter of the back-and-forth tilt.
