Montreal Canadiens Fans Plan Large Protest Over Bruins' Chara Hit

BOSTON (CBS) - Montreal Canadiens fans are still so upset over last week's check by Bruins defenseman Zdeno Chara, they're reportedly planning a full-scale protest.

According to Canadian news outlet CTV, more than 1,600 Habs fans were expected outside Montreal's Bell Centre Tuesday to protest the NHL's decision not to fine or suspend Chara for the hit that left Canadiens forward Max Pacioretty with a concussion and a broken neck.

Chara has said he was not trying to hurt Pacioretty.

Montreal police are investigating the incident after being bombarded will calls from angry Canadiens' fans.
