Father, Son Arrested For Trying To Steal Car Parts

WRENTHAM (CBS) -- A father and son were arrested Friday for trying to steal car parts from vehicles parked at an auto repair shop in Wrentham.

Rob Fortenarosa, 39, and his son, Michael Fonterarosa, 18, were arrested around 2 a.m. when a Wrentham police officer was checking local businesses and found the two.

The officer found a socket wrench, socket set, hacksaws and a battery powered sawzall at the repair shop. The son told the officer they had planned to steal car parts but the officer interrupted them.

They are both charged with attempt to commit a crime, larceny; possession of burglarious tools; conspiracy to commit a crime; and motor vehicle trespass. 

They were arraigned Friday morning.
