BOSTON (CBS) – For Kansas alumnus Paul Pierce, March is a great time of the year.

This year, he is a little torn with his Jayhawks playing Boston University. Torn, but not worried.

“Man I’m in a tough predicament,” Pierce said after the Celtics 87-56 win over the Milwaukee Bucks on Sunday. “Well it’s not a tough predicament, everyone knows I’m a Kansas alumnus. BU’s seasons going to be over next weekend, sorry. I’m sorry guys, I still love you guys.”

As for the chance his team could become the first number one-seed to lose to a 16-seed?

“Definitely not, I’ll guarantee you we don’t lose the first game.”

Paul Pierce Makes His Kansas-BU Prediction

Pierce did not say what he would do if the Terriers do make history against his alma mater. Celtics trainer Ed Lacerte is a BU alum, so you can bet there will be a little side bet in the Celtics locker room for Friday night’s game.
