81 Students Kicked Out Of Methuen Schools

METHUEN (CBS) - Eighty-one students have been kicked out of public schools in Methuen, but not for bad behavior.

The students were booted because it couldn't be proven that they lived in the city.

According to the Eagle-Tribune, the city's superintendent spent seven months verifying students' residency.

Supporters said the move reduces class size and ensures that Methuen tax dollars are being spent on residents.
