John Morgan, the lawyer for the two men accusing Brandon Meriweather of shooting them, joined Toucher & Rich Thursday to talk about the case.

Rich and WBZ-TV’s Dan Roche asked Morgan what the two men claim happened that night.

“What we’ve been told is what we’ve been told by two clients we’ve never met before in our lives. Everything we’re told is an allegation. The only thing that I know for certain is there are serious injuries to both of these people. I think that, the first thing that I would do if i was, and everything is allegedy happened here, the first thing that I think has to happen, if Brandon Meriweather didn’t have anything to do with it, he comes forward this morning and says ‘what are you talking about?’”

Does Morgan have doubts that Meriweather was even involved in the shooting?

“I have a lot of doubt,” Morgan said. ”Look, it’s a shooting. I haven’t heard anything from him yet. I haven’t heard anything from his representatives. As I’ve said before, it may be as simple as this, Brandon Meriweather says ‘how could it be me, I wasn’t even in that town.’ This is a young persons’ life. I’m never going to rush out and say, ‘my clients told me so this happened.’”

Rich, Rich, Rich…lost sooo much respect for you during that interview I was embarrassed for you. I had to change the station. You were badgering him in a way that showed you had zero comprehension of the legal system. Many people obtain lawyers prior to even needing them should the need arise. Only after they investigate will they agree to “represent” me on a matter. You got so emotional that your interview tactics lost all credibility. I believe had you engaged in a more civilized manner you may have gotten something from him. Should have just let the more qualified Roachie take over. Damn, never thought I would regret Toucher not being there. Love ya, man but you better stick to sond parodies.

I’m a huge t&r fan and I understand that rich is a huge part of the show, but he can’t handle the hosting duties. I rarely turn t&r off, but i had to today.

terrible. this gentleman was contacted due to an INVESTIGATION of a shooting by a man said to be Brandon Meriweather. You were speaking to him as if he was the judge, jury, and executioner in an ongoing attempted murder case. He was simply in the middle of finding evidence that would either prove or disprove these men’s story. He never once said he was representing them. it was an unintelligent attack on a man doing his job. I’m a long time listener and I love what you do but that was just mind-numbingly ignorant.
