MALDEN (CBS) – A man found dead in Malden on Wednesday was allegedly stabbed by his husband, the Middlesex County district attorney said.

Michael Losee, 41, turned himself in after his spouse, 55-year-old Brian Bergeron, was found dead in their apartment on Clarendon Street.

WBZ TV’s Kate Merrill reports.

“You see it on TV and never think it will happen in your own backyard, or even upstairs,” said Belinda Davis, who lives downstairs from the victim’s apartment.

Police discovered the body Wednesday morning when they went to check on him.

“This appears to be a tragic incident of domestic violence, committed by the spouse of the victim,” District Attorney Gerry Leone said.

WBZ NewsRadio 1030′s Bernice Corpuz reports.

Neighbors said the couple seemed very friendly.

The DA said Losee called a friend after the murder and admitted everything. That friend then called police.
