I-Team: Accused Car Salesman Sent Back To Jail

SALEM (CBS) - An I-Team investigation landed a car salesman behind bars on Monday.

Daniel Wright is accused of stealing cars from customers and now violating a court order. The I-Team caught Wright back at work selling cars.

Last month, a judge let him out on bail on the condition that he stay out of the auto sales business.

In Salem District Court, Wright's lawyer tried to explain, but the judge wasn't buying it and ordered that Wright be taken into custody.

The I-Team reported that Wright stole a Mercedes from widow Stacey Chicoine by forging her late husband's signature on the title and selling it behind her back for $61,000.

Wright will be in jail for 90 days or until he goes to trial, whichever comes first.
