Boston Common Getting A Facelift
BOSTON (CBS) - The way this winter has been going, most people can't wait for this summer.
And in Boston, there's something to look forward to - a new Boston Common.
It's the oldest public park in America and Mayor Tom Menino said it "needs some work done to it."

"We just want to make sure it really represents the city of Boston," Menino told WBZ NewsRadio 1030 Monday.
"We're going to have checker boards, we're going to have games, WiFi on the Common. We're going to bring the park – even though it's the oldest park in America – up to the 21st century, so that people will be gathering there, young families could go there," he said.
The $1.5 million facelift will also include a sprinkler system in Liberty Mall near the State House, the renovation of several buildings, cracked concrete will be replaced with granite and trees will be planted.
"You'll see a real progress being made on the Common over the next several months," Menino said.
