Danvers Man Arrested On Mass. Pike For Kidnapping

WESTBORO (CBS) – A Danvers man accused of kidnapping a woman was arrested by state police on the Mass. Pike on Saturday.

Nathaniel Hudon, 31, allegedly kidnapped the 42-year-old Malden woman from her home at around 5:45 a.m. Police said he broke the interior door handles of his truck so woman could not escape.

Hudon later stopped to get gas at the Westboro Service Plaza, and the victim managed to kick open the door's window and escape. She ran to a nearby truck stop and called 911 at around 6:30 a.m.

By the time officers arrived to the scene, Hudon had taken off, leaving the victim behind. She was unharmed, according to officers.

Officers discuss the case.

After 7 a.m., Hudon pulled into the Charlton Service Plaza after refusing to stop for pursuing troopers and crashed his truck into a fence post. He then ran through the building and climbed up on the roof, where troopers caught him and arrested him.

Hudon is expected to be arraigned on kidnapping, assault, and other charges on Monday in Malden District Court. Police said Hudon was high on cocaine the entire time.
