Danvers Man Arrested On Mass. Pike For Kidnapping

WESTBORO (CBS) – A Danvers man accused of kidnapping a woman was arrested by state police on the Mass. Pike on Saturday.

Nathaniel Hudon, 31, allegedly kidnapped the 42-year-old Malden woman from her home at around 5:45 a.m. Police said he broke the interior door handles of his truck so woman could not escape.

Hudon later stopped to get gas at the Westboro Service Plaza, and the victim managed to kick open the door’s window and escape. She ran to a nearby truck stop and called 911 at around 6:30 a.m.

WBZ NewsRadio 1030’s Kim Tunnicliffe reports.

By the time officers arrived to the scene, Hudon had taken off, leaving the victim behind. She was unharmed, according to officers.

Officers discuss the case.

After 7 a.m., Hudon pulled into the Charlton Service Plaza after refusing to stop for pursuing troopers and crashed his truck into a fence post. He then ran through the building and climbed up on the roof, where troopers caught him and arrested him.

Hudon is expected to be arraigned on kidnapping, assault, and other charges on Monday in Malden District Court. Police said Hudon was high on cocaine the entire time.

Nathaniel Hudon sounds like a serial killer or a serial rapist. “he broke the interior door handles of his truck so woman could not escape”. there will be more found out about this guy for sure.

I went to high school with Nate, he didn’t seem crazy or anything, sorta quiet. You know what they say…

  4. Cynic says:

Does he have a prior relatiomship with the woman? This is bizarre…..

  5. rd says:

He is actually a really good kid. He was sober for a long time and just relapsed. He has never been in trouble. Its not him its drugs. Maybe if the state would stop cutting money for funding to help these people and realize how much crime would be cut!

nate is not a serial killer or rapist. the media is making him sound like a monster. Being the daughter of the woman he kidnapped i can still say he is the kindest, caring person i know. Anyone who has crossed nate’s path would say the same thing. He wasnt in the right state of mind at the time and we are not looking for him to get jail time but rather the help he needs to get him better

Nate is not a rapist or a serial killer. Being the daughter of the woman he kidnapped I will say he is the kindest, warm hearted person I know. He would do anything for anyone and would never put anyone in harms way. He was in the wrong state of mind at the time and we are not looking for him to get jail time but rather the help he needs to get better. We are not happy at all with the media and how they are making him out to be.

I witnessed his arrest and attempt to escape from the inside of a hyde school bus parked in the plaza for a food break on our way to avon conn. Anyone interested in what i saw? Cliff.bauman@yahoo.com

Yes, the entire problem is the state’s fault and the media’s portrayal of poor Nate. After all, who among us can honestly say that they haven’t kidnapped a woman after rigging a vehicle to be impossible to escape from? I’m sure he was just bringing her on an ice cream run or something like that. Man, a moody sociopath can’t get a break these days. They have all these crazy laws against us!
