COHASSET (CBS) – A coffee shop known for its television commercials was the scene of a wild crash Friday morning.
A mini van plowed right by the counter through the front of Marylou’s on Route 3A around 7:15 a.m.
No one was hurt. There were no customers in the store at the time.
“The driver of the vehicle is reporting that she came in for coffee, she slowed at the curb and the vehicle accelerated on its own crashing through the front of the store and hitting the rear of the store,” said Cohasset police Lt. William Quigley.
The 2004 Toyota Sienna rolled right by the counter before slamming into some soda machines and then through a rear wall into an office.
The crash was captured by four surveillance cameras in the shop.

Store manager Alyson Robson said they’re typically busy at that time.
“7:15, it’s usually a line of these men that come in every day. Today, they came in ten minutes early.”
Police did not name the driver, but said she is 42 years old and from Weymouth.
“She said she was attempting to apply the brakes and it just wasn’t happening,” Quigley said.
WBZ-TV’s Kate Merrill reports.
“At this point it doesn’t appear that they will be any charges. Our department has seized this vehicle as evidence. We’re going to hold it and have some specialists take a look at it to see if there’s any issues with the acceleration pedal or the brakes.”
Toyota recently has recalled more than two million vehicles because of accelerator problems.
Meanwhile, the Marylou’s in Cohasset plans to re-open on Saturday.
