BOSTON (AP) — Massachusetts U.S. Sen. Scott Brown is crediting so-called “Reagan Democrats” for helping him win the seat once held by Democratic stalwart Edward Kennedy, whose picture Brown says he keeps on his office mantel.

The Republican made the comments Friday at the Reagan Presidential Library in California.

Brown said Reagan Democrats, who crossed party lines twice to elect the former Republican president, also turned out to back his candidacy. He said Reagan Democrats are still a force in Massachusetts and without their support he would not have been elected senator.

Brown also acknowledged that there was “a bit of luck working for me” in last year’s special election.

Although he didn’t always agree with Kennedy, Brown said he still keeps a picture of the liberal lion in his office.

I will say one thing its so funny how politicians change the subject real quick . Going from being molested to something else entirely ? Id love to make senator brown take a lie detectors test usualy when a person lie like that they like changing the subject so whats wrong your not selling your book like you planned ? I also think its so funny how these elected officials get into offices and instead of working together to solve our countrys problems they WRITE a STUPID book instead of doing what they are ELECTED TO DO in the FIRST PLACE and people wonder why NOTHING ever gets done . Its such a shame we have SO MANY GREEDY POLITICIANS who are out for no one else except there own , all i can say is i feel sorry for our kids of the future when we have people like this running our country its a shame .

Even after all this time I still find it had to believe that people actually elected Reagan.
Instead of ” I will not raise Taxes’ shouldn’t the campaign promise be ” I will not write a Book’?

  3. Cynic says:

I plan to read the book.
He covers a couple of very important subjects That I would like to know more about.
The Gay assaults he suffered that most are concentrating on are the least of them. Sometimes people can’t see the Forest because the Trees keep getting in the way.
On-line the book is going for between $16 and $53.00. I have to wait until it gets down to lees than a dollar but I will read it.
